That was your assumption. I'm not married to the LS650, I was laughing at your naive comments......

> First, bike offers no protection from the elements whatsoever

Like someone said, with a good windshield you'll get more protection than with the co$metic plastic on a sport bike.

>Second, there is virtually no aftermarket bits for it

Like what, anodized aluminum fork caps or wheelie lights? There are numerous screens and bags, tires, shocks, pipes, at least one rack, and probably a dozen handlebar bends.

This comment is absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah, we read your 'I crashed' posting. Did you check your shock preload, the stem bearings, or tire pressures? Did you make any riding or braking corrections for the weather and road condition, or is blaming the bike easier? The LS wheelbase is 58.5", how does that mean it's a "long frame". I smell BS with proclamation #3, too.

> Fourth, brakes suck.

As compared to what? They are more than adequate for the bikes' 350 lb weight and speed potential. Do you honestly think any manufacturer would market a bike in the U.S. with inefficient brakes?

> Fifth, suspension is lacking and provides little feedback from the ground

This is another stroke of clueless bullshit that could only come from lack of experience. You're entitled to be a newbie like everyone else has been, but spare us from this.

> Sixth, gas tank is minute.

Yup, 2.9 gallons means you need to get off every 145 miles or so and fill the tank.

> I need something that won't let me down handling-wise when it really starts
> pouring around here

It has nothing to do with the bikes handling, some people just do better in cars.

> I'm thinking of the ex500's because they excel in every area over the Savage

An attempt to compare apples to oranges. The Kawa is an excellent bike, but don't kid yourself that you won't still fall on slick roads with it, or kill yourself because you don't know how to ride it properly.

I'm through now, let someone else deal with you.
